In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. .. (John 1:1). ..And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father) full of Grace and Truth (John 1:14). ..
All Christians know the story of Jesus. .. the Word of God in the flesh. .. and we long for his return. ..again. .. But I would like to suggest that the Word of God is still walking this earth. .. dwelling within us. ... Just as the disciples were able to bear witness of Jesus by the word. .. so must we. .. but that Word must dwell within each of us.
Romans Chapter 10 verse 14-15 states. .. How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a Preacher? And how shall they preach except they be sent? As it is written, how beautiful are the feet of them that preach the Gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
The word lives on through each of the Redeemed of the Lord. .. Jesus states in Matthew 24:35, Heaven and earth will pass away, but My Words shall not pass away. As the Psalmist states in Psalm 119, we should hide God's Word in our hearts, so that we will not sin against it.
For you have been born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the living and enduring Word of God. (1 Peter 1:23). The Word of the Lord endures forever, and this is the Word which by the Gospel is preached unto each of us.
When we accept Christ as our Lord and Savior, His Words dwell within us, but we are not to keep it to ourselves. It is our calling to spread God's Word to the world so that others will be saved. What word has God given you that others will be saved when they hear it?
Sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to everyone that asks you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear. (1 Peter 3:15). ..
The Word continues to Walk this earth through the Redeemed of the Lord. .. Magnify and Glorify Him with that walk. .. May He order your steps and cover you with His Grace and Mercy always. .. Amen.
