Walking. ... With God

There is this song called Walk with me, Lord. .. There are several versions of this song, but the one I was listening to was by Lizz Wright. .. it is a nice smooth jazzy version. .. but as I was listening, the lyrics ask. .. walk with me Lord, hold my hand lord. ..don't leave me alone Lord. ..

This should be the prayer from all believers. .. walk with me Lord, hold my hand, Lord. .. don't leave me alone, Lord. ... It is a simple prayer. ..and yet. .. God will honor such a prayer

But. .. it comes with conditions. .. and here they are. .. First. .. you have to choose to walk with God.

And what does that mean. .. what does that look or sound like. .. If you choose to walk with God that means you are choosing to follow Him. .. Many times we go down paths that we think is the right way only to find ourselves on the road alone. ..you see .. God leads. .. He is not a follower. ..

So when you are asking God to walk with you. ..what you are really saying is. .. Lord I want to follow you. .. I want to serve you. .. John 12:26 states. .. If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honor. ..

When you walking with God. .. He will always go before you. .. Deuteronomy 31: 8. .. The Lord Himself goes before you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. ..Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. .. All we have to do is follow. .. and if we are truly following Him. ..our actions will be His actions. ..simply keep His commandments and obey Him. .. because in John 8:12. ..When Jesus spoke again to the people saying. .."I am the Light of the world: whosoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. ... Walking with God. ..means you are never alone. .. you will never be lost. .. 1 Peter 2:21.. .To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow . .. in His steps.
